Black & white Cat Found in Columbia & Hackney Road, E2

Found London E2 on Columbia Road, corner of Hackney Road on Friday 23 October 2009 around 7pm.

Black cat with white feet and white markings around nose and neck. About 1 to 2 years old. Purple collar with a small bell. No contact info. Checking for microchip.

Very affectionate and playful.

Black Cat Missing in Norwich NR3

Please help Esther find her black cat. He is 2 years old, wears a yellow collar, has a tiny fluff on belly and went missing on the 29 July 2009. He isn't microchipped. He is missing in Norwich from the NR3 2PP area.

Cat Home Safe after 16 Months

A CAT has been reunited with its owner after going missing 16 months ago.

Five-year old feline Pepsi disappeared in Milton Keynes last year after his owner, Cheryl Boardman, had moved house. However, this week, he was brought into the Wood Green animal shelter at Heydon by a member of the public.

Because Pepsi was microchipped, staff at the shelter were able to reunite the cat with his owner.

Mrs Boardman, who said she had "given up all hope" of finding her pet, said: "Its like he has never been away. We were so delighted and amazed that Pepsi had been found and my daughter was so excited when she came home from school to find her cat Pepsi had come home."

Nicola Bacon, Communications Manager for Wood Green Animal Shelters said: "It is amazing that we have been able to reunite Pepsi with his owner. He was in such a sorry state when he arrived that it was very clear he had been fending for himself for a long time.

"This just highlights the importance of having your animals microchipped; if Pepsi hadn't been chipped previously it is very unlikely after all this time that we would have been successful in reuniting him with his owner. He is certainly a very lucky cat with many of his nine lives intact."

Vet Loses Cat in Cheltenham

"Very easily I am afraid, if he is left in the hands of a careless vet nurse.

This is Lionel. He had been taken to the Honeybourne Veterinary Centre in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, by his owner, after he was hit by a car last Thursday. X-rays showed that he had suffered a dislocated hip and vets told his family he should stay with staff from the clinic at Overton Road over the weekend in order to make a recovery.

However, one of the surgery´s duty nurses took the cat back to her home when the clinic closed for the weekend and she put him in her garden shed. However, the cat made an escape when she forgot to lock his cage!

Paul Adkin, the vet, has now had 600 A4 posters printed off professionally, which he has put up across the area as well as 20,000 leaflets which are to be dropped through people´s letterboxes, all at a cost of around £700.

The cat, Lionel, is black, with a slightly uneven jaw, the result of an earlier accident, according to his family.

The cat´s owner, Jodie Dawkins, has been upset by the loss of her pet and criticised the practice for putting Lionel in an unsupervised shed in the first place. Miss Dawkins, 29, from Charlton Kings, Glos, said the escape had left her five-year-old daughter Olivia "in pieces".

"I am so angry about what has gone on. It beggars belief.
"We are all distraught about it, no one more so than my five-year-old daughter Olivia. "She and Lionel have grown up together and it will leave her heartbroken if we don´t get him back. "We were told he would be taken good care of over the weekend, not put in a shed and left there."

Miss Dawkins, a mental health nurse, conceded that the vets were doing everything they could to find the cat.

Vet Paul Adkin, who has worked at Honeybourne for almost 10 years, said he was both "angry" and "upset" about losing the pet and promised to launch a full internal investigation into the matter. "This is the worst thing that has happened to me during my 14 years as a vet," he said.

This is obviously a terrible cock-up and I hope Lionel is home soon. "

LOST DOG from Littlebury Green, Saffron Walden

This is Jacob.

He has been missing since 21 January 2009

He went off after some deer on a familiar walk behind a house in Littlebury Green, near Saffron Walden, and has not really been reliably seen since.

Jacob is a 3 yr old male, stands about 27" to the shoulder, is orange and white colouring, docked, amber eyes, slightly built.

We are desperate to locate him of course, so any help anyone could offer would be really fantastic.

Home Safe - Mistaken identity but Home Now

I have great news, Flash is home :) The SSPCA had rehomed her in error but we managed to get the lady who rehomed her to bring her back to us :) Never been as happy in my life, so relieved she is home safe and well. Council Cleansing Department had found a cat resembling Flash and told the owner Flash had been killed in a RTA. Flash was not microchipped.

Flash is 8 months old and wandered off on the 5th February 2009 - he may have become disorientated in the snow. Last seen around 9pm that Thursday.

She is missing from the CROFT area in LARKHALL, Lancashire in Scotland.

She is petite, no collar nor microchipped, very friendly and doesn't go far normally.
